INFORMATION
Travis Greene (born January 17, 1984) is an American gospel artist, worship leader, songwriter, and pastor whose life story and ministry have made him one of the most influential voices in contemporary gospel music. Born in Delaware and raised primarily in Warner Robins, Georgia, Greene often describes his childhood as marked by miraculous survival. As a young child, he survived a four-story fall that doctors believed he would not live through. He has consistently testified that this and other near-death experiences shaped his conviction that his life carries divine purpose, a theme that later became central to both his preaching and songwriting.
Greene grew up deeply rooted in church life, where his musical gifts became evident at an early age. Immersed in worship culture, he developed a passion for leading congregations in praise and cultivated a style that blends traditional gospel, contemporary Christian music, and urban worship influences. As a teenager, he began leading worship and quickly gained recognition for his expressive voice and spiritual sensitivity. His calling to ministry extended beyond music, leading him to pursue theological education and earn a Master of Divinity degree, which provided a strong biblical and pastoral foundation for his future work.

His national breakthrough came with the 2015 live album The Hill, which featured the widely celebrated single Intentional. The song’s message—that God is purposeful even in hardship—resonated with a broad audience and helped establish Greene as a defining voice in modern gospel worship. He continued to build on this momentum with Crossover: Live from Music City, a project recorded in Nashville that blended gospel, worship, and contemporary Christian elements, further broadening his reach. In 2019, he released Broken Record, a more personal and sonically diverse album reflecting spiritual maturity and creative exploration. Songs such as Made a Way and You Waited became anthems in churches across the United States and internationally, celebrated for their themes of perseverance, divine faithfulness, and redemption.
Throughout his career, Greene has received multiple Stellar Awards, Billboard Music Award nominations, and Grammy nominations, consistently appearing on gospel music charts and earning recognition for both his vocal performance and songwriting. Yet his influence extends beyond awards and commercial success. He has maintained a strong commitment to pastoral ministry, co-founding Forward City Church in Columbia, South Carolina, alongside his wife, Dr. Jackie Greene. As lead pastor, he emphasizes multicultural worship, community engagement, spiritual growth, and innovative ministry approaches that connect faith with everyday life.

In his personal life, Greene often speaks about the importance of family, integrity, and spiritual accountability. He and his wife share leadership responsibilities in their church and are devoted to raising their children within a faith-centered home. His journey—from surviving childhood trauma to becoming a global worship leader and pastor—continues to inspire many who see in his story a testament to resilience, faith, and intentional living. Through both the pulpit and the platform, Travis Greene has built a legacy centered on hope, purpose, and unwavering trust in God.
