INFORMATION
Jekalyn Almonique Carr (born April 22, 1997) is an American gospel singer, songwriter, worship leader, and influential Christian artist known for her powerful voice, heartfelt lyrics, and chart-topping gospel hits. She was born in West Memphis, Arkansas, USA, and later became based in Atlanta, Georgia, where much of her music career has developed.
Jekalyn began singing in church at a very young age — around five years old — and was recognized early for her natural musical gift. By age 11 she felt called to ministry, both as a speaker and singer, and at 15 she released her breakout single “Greater Is Coming,” which debuted on the Billboard Gospel chart and propelled her into national gospel prominence.

Over the past decade, Carr has established herself as one of gospel music’s most dynamic and successful independent artists. She has achieved multiple Billboard No. 1 singles and albums, and her songs have been streamed and sung in churches worldwide. Her accolades include Grammy nominations and wins, Stellar Awards, GMA Dove Awards, and induction into the Women’s Songwriters Hall of Fame — a first for a gospel artist — underscoring her impact as both a singer and songwriter.

Beyond music, Jekalyn Carr is a speaker, published author, radio personality, and entrepreneur. Her bestselling book You Will Win encourages believers to overcome life’s challenges through faith. She also hosts the Jekalyn Carr Family Affair Show on radio and has launched beauty and skincare brands, reflecting her influence outside of music as well.
Carr has also ventured into acting, appearing in films and expanding her platform as a multi-faceted artist. Throughout her career, she has maintained a strong emphasis on faith, hope, inspiration, and uplifting messages that resonate across generations, making her one of the leading voices in contemporary gospel music today.
